As a (junior) VAT Compliance analyst you are part of our VAT Compliance team dealing with all our business units. You work closely together with our 15 international colleagues who are looking after VAT compliance cross various countries daily. With our internal customers you will build up your working relations. You will be part of CD66 - Corporate Tax team and you will report directly to the Head of Global Indirect Tax Compliance Services.
In this role your main task is to provide VAT compliance services to our internal customers in Europe, MENA, SSA and APEC Regions. Your portfolio contains a scope of entities from different countries. Your main accountabilities are preparing and submitting VAT Returns in line with local country legislation, following a standardized end-to-end process. You will ensure that all other legal reporting requirements (e.g. European Sales Listing, Intrastat...) are fulfilled in time as well. You are responsible for reconciling the VAT accounts to the VAT returns and to action on noticed queries.
As one of our team members you actively build and maintain contacts, working with CD 66 Corporate Tax, SSC Maastricht/Bahrain/Mauritius and several of our business units, communicating on items concerning your responsible area.
You will be involved in (change) projects and continuous improvements of processes, depending on your build up experience.

Profiel en vaardigheden
You are following a Bachelor or Master in Tax, Finance, Economics or Law
You have a solid background of VAT knowledge
You have the ability to apply broad theoretical knowledge obtained through advanced education
You are experienced in Excel, minimum intermediate level
ERP system knowledge such as Oracle, SAP, SUN and Exact are a plus
Excellent knowledge of English language
Excellent analytical skills, investigative, strong problem solving skills
